Boycotting of Staff Council Election

With due regards it is brought to your notice that the entire O & M department of this esteemed organization decided to boycott the subject election considering the following facts.

a. It is felt by one and all during the election campaign that the main purpose of the council election is slowly and surely getting defeated and there seems no meaning in the election.

b. In the past the council has never done fruitful role to improve the working as well the living standard of the employees as the council was always under direction from the management and never got chance to raise the voice of the employees.

c. The council is the elected body and as the representatives it should have powers to sound the views of the employees. In the past it is experienced that the council remained as puppet and followed the tunes of the management.

d. The management has never provided a concrete platform for the employees and the staff council remind only a show piece and the employees realize and expect a strong staff council or a staff union.

e. It is also strongly felt by all that an independent body without the interference of the management to function as a true representative of the employees be allowed to be formed.

In view of the above stated facts and the collective decision of all the electoral candidates sought your kind and immediate intervention so as to provide an amicable platform for the employees in true value. This decision is made collectively respecting the true feelings of the employees/voters.
